Anne-Lise Rey is Professor of Philosophy of Science at the Université Paris-Nanterre. She earned his Doctorate in Philosophy in 2004 at the Université Paris IV – Sorbonne. She was a visiting professor at Columbia University, at the Institute for Advanced Study at the Princeton University, at the Université de Lille and at the Université de Lyon.
She is a specialist in Classical Ages and the Enlightenment, working in particular on Leibniz, Newton, the French and German Enlightenment, women philosophers.
She directs the Cahiers d’histoire et de philosophie des sciences collection published by Hermann. She is a member of the editorial board of the Revue d’Histoire des sciences and the journal Methodos. She is also a member of the NEC of HOPOS.
