Christoph Asmuth is Full Professor of Philosophy at the Augustana-Hochschule Neuendettelsau, having previously worked at the Technische Universität Berlin. He was also a visiting professor at several universities. He did his Doctorate at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 1995 and his Habilitation at the Technische Universität Berlin in 2003. He has a vast bibliographic production in the areas of German Idealism, Modern Philosophy, Classical Philosophy, Philosophy of History and Philosophy of the Body.
Christoph Asmuth has been cooperating academically for several years with a group of researchers from the Graduate Program in Philosophy at UERJ, formed by professors Márcia Gonçalves, Edgar Marques, Karla Chediak, Marcos Gleizer and Antonio Augusto Videira. Together, these German and Brazilian researchers formed the Probral Capes-DAAD Concept, Intuition and Purposes (2014-2015) and Probral CAPES-DAAD Infinity (2019-2021), which provided several work and study missions at TU Berlin and UERJ.
